County clerk to open office in Sherrill one day a week
Services provided by the county clerk's office will be available one day a week in Sherrill starting next month.
Beginning April 5, the satellite office will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays in the city municipal building, 377 Sherrill Road.
Department of Motor Vehicles services will include driver's license renewals, new registration of a vehicle, registration renewals, transfer of license plates and surrender of license plates, as well as all others offered at the DMV offices in Rome and Utica.
Additionally, the Sherrill location will process passport applications and renewals, plus passport photographs, as well as the filing and recording of deeds and mortgages.
County Clerk Sandra J. DePerno sees a convenience factor in the addition of the Sherrill venue.
"This office will encompass a majority of the services that our constituents in western Oneida County had to travel to Utica or Rome to obtain," she said.
